Jamie Benson James WongSINGAPORE, November 2, 2012—Duane Morris & Selvam LLP is pleased to announce that Jamie Benson and James Wong have joined its Singapore office. The addition of Benson, a Director, and Wong, a Special Counsel, grow the capacity of the corporate practice in Singapore. Benson joins from Dorsey & Whitney (Europe) LLP in London. Wong joins from Crescent Advisors in Singapore.

"Benson and Wong are welcome additions to our corporate team here in Singapore, expanding our experience even further in capital markets and private equity, and in cross-border M&A transactions across Asia," said Arfat Selvam, managing director of Duane Morris & Selvam LLC.

Benson has more than 14 years' experience as a U.S. securities lawyer with a focus on international capital markets and cross-border M&A work. He has experience representing clients, including major global investments banks and Indian investment banks on securities offerings by Indian issuers; SEC-registered equity offerings; equity private placements; SEC-registered debt offerings; high-yield, convertible and investment-grade bond offerings; debt private placements; American Depositary Receipt programs; Global Depositary Receipt offerings; mergers and acquisitions of U.S. public companies and non-U.S. public companies; asset purchases and sales; SEC-reporting obligations; migrating companies to the United States; and establishment of and sale of interests in hedge funds and private equity funds.

Benson is admitted to practice in New York. He graduated from the University of Virginia, with an LL.M. in 1996; and from University of Cambridge (Trinity College), England, with a B.A. (Law) in 1994 and an M.A., 1998.

Wong represents clients in private equity investments, drawing upon his experience as a consultant most recently for Crescent Advisors in Singapore. Prior to Crescent, Wong was counsel at Merrill Lynch International Bank in Singapore, where he helped clients with private wealth issues. Previously, he practiced with international law firms in London and Singapore, representing clients in financial restructurings, bankruptcies and workouts, as well as corporate, finance, debt markets and equity capital markets issues.

Wong is admitted as Advocate & Solicitor of Singapore and to the Bar of England & Wales. He graduated from University of Pennsylvania, Master of Laws (LL.M.), in 1997 and received the Rotary International (foreign student) first prize at Buckingham University (UK), Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.), in 1995.
