Duane Morris Special Counsel Tim Braue Appointed to Harford County Council Charter Review Board
BALTIMORE, July 19, 2011—Duane Morris LLP special counsel Tim E. Braue has been appointed to the Harford County Council's charter review board. The 15-member board, led by Harford Circuit Court Judge Maurice Baldwin, is tasked with reviewing and making recommendations for revisions to the county charter, and it will submit a report of its findings and recommendations to the council early next year.
Braue, based in Baltimore, practices in the areas of corporate and securities law, representing public and private companies; venture capital investors; and private equity funds. He frequently represents clients in connection with mergers and acquisitions transactions, public and private securities offerings and general corporate matters. Braue's clients have included emerging pharmaceutical and medical-device businesses, high-tech and telecommunications companies and manufacturing and real estate development firms.
Prior to joining Duane Morris, Braue served in the White House as deputy associate director of presidential personnel; was appointed by President George W. Bush as counsel to the assistant attorney general in the U.S. Department of Justice; and was named deputy secretary of appointments by former Maryland Gov. Robert L. Ehrlich, Jr. He is a cum laude graduate of Valparaiso University School of Law and a graduate of St. Mary's College of Maryland.
