NEW YORK, June 12, 2013—Duane Morris LLP is pleased to sponsor an evening of shopping at Henri Bendel to benefit the GlamourGals Foundation (GG), a nonprofit organization that connects teenagers and elderly women to provide companionship and facilitate multi-generational dialogue in senior homes. Under the leadership of Founder and President Rachel Doyle, GG arranges for the teens to visit senior homes and provide complimentary makeovers to often neglected elderly communities. The makeovers serve as a creative tool to spark lively discussions in which the women exchange their wisdom and life experiences and build bonds across the age groups.
Sponsored by the Women's Initiative of Duane Morris' New York office, the shopping evening will be held today, June 12, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Henri Bendel (712 5th Ave.) in New York City. Henri Bendel has agreed to donate 10 percent of the evening's proceeds to GG. All guests are asked to donate any amount to GG and will receive a 10-percent discount off their purchases, as well as a gift bag.

Mary C. Pennisi, an associate in Duane Morris' New York Office, joined the GlamourGals Foundation's Advisory Board in 2012, recognizing the synergy between Duane Morris' approach to women's issues and the foundation's similarly holistic programs focused on empowering women across multiple generations. In addition to sponsoring the shopping fundraiser event, Duane Morris provides pro bono legal assistance on transactional issues through a team composed of Marc Kushner, Mitchell Frank, Kimball Lane, Thomas Newman and Martin Monaco. Later this summer, the firm's New York office plans to host the foundation's interns for a week and provide a mentorship seminar, concentrated both on professional development and multigenerational issues.
