Duane Morris Partner Jonathan Armstrong to Speak at American Chamber of Commerce in Hungary Transparency Conference
LONDON and BUDAPEST, March 23, 2011—Duane Morris partner Jonathan Armstrong of the firm’s Corporate Practice Group in London will deliver a keynote speech at the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) in Hungary’s Transparency Conference. The event will take place at the headquarters of Magyar Telekom in Budapest on April 5, 2011.
Armstrong—who will be one of the few non-Hungarians addressing the conference—will discuss international legal issues, with a focus on expectations and best practices for compliance with transparency laws affecting the international business community. Other keynote speakers include Hungary’s Minister of Public Administration and Justice Tibor Navracsics and a representative from Siemens AG.
Armstrong concentrates his practice in the area of corporate law, with a concentration in technology and compliance. His practice includes counseling multinational companies on matters involving risk, technology and compliance across Europe. Armstrong has handled legal matters in more than 40 countries involving emerging technology, corporate governance, reputation, internal investigations, marketing, branding and global privacy policies. He has counseled a range of clients on breach prevention, mitigation and response.
