Duane Morris Adds Corporate Partner Jonathan Armstrong in London
LONDON, November 9, 2009—Duane Morris LLP is pleased to announce that Jonathan P. Armstrong has joined the firm as a partner. Armstrong will strengthen Duane Morris' Corporate Practice Group, as well as the firm's international and technology practices. He joins Duane Morris LLP from U.K. law firm Eversheds LLP and will be based at the London office of Duane Morris.
Armstrong focuses his practice on counseling multinational clients on cross-border issues involving technology and compliance. He has handled legal matters in more than 40 countries, including matters involving internal investigations, e-discovery, security breaches, emerging technology, consumer marketing, branding, electronic corporate governance and privacy policies. His clients include Fortune 250 companies in a wide variety of industries, such as technology, media, hospitality, manufacturing and financial services.
Armstrong regularly writes articles on technology-related topics. He is a Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Marketing and the vice-chair of the New York State Bar Association International Section, and was formerly a member of the Advisory Board of the Georgetown University Advanced eCommerce Institute in Washington, D.C. He is a frequent presenter at conferences in the United States and across Europe. His presentations have included sessions with the American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association and Practising Law Institute. Armstrong frequently appears on the BBC to discuss corporate, technology and compliance issues.
Armstrong earned his LL.B. from the University of Leeds and completed graduate training at Nottingham Trent University.
