Duane Morris Adds New Partner in Houston; Firm Expands Corporate Practice with the addition of Charles E. Harrell, P.C.
HOUSTON, AUGUST 16 - Duane Morris LLP, one of the nation's 100 largest law firms, today added a new partner to its Corporate Practice Group. Charles E. Harrell, formerly of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, has joined the Duane Morris Houston office.

Charles E. Harrell's practice focuses on corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, structured financing and public offerings. He is experienced in representing startups and venture capital, joint venture and partnership structuring and formation, debt and equity securities, and structured financings. Charles is also a certified public accountant.
He has served such clients as SBC Communications, Inc., Quanta Services, Inc. and PentaSafe Security Technologies, a Texas-based software company. He has also served NextWave, a digital telecommunications company, and a number of Mexico-based companies, including Alestra, a project-financed joint venture that offers telecommunications services, and Nemak S.A.
Charles serves on the Board of Directors of the Houston Chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directory and of the non-profit Target Hunger. He is a member of the Houston Technology Center Advisory Board and the Corporate Partners of the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston. He is also a member of the ABA Section of Corporation, Banking and Business Law, as well as the State Bar of Texas and Houston Bar Associations.
Charles has published and co-authored "Securitization of Oil, Gas and Other Natural Resource Assets: Emerging Financing Techniques" and "Financing American Health Security: The Securitization of Healthcare Receivables."
He received his law degree from St. Mary's University of San Antonio School of Law in 1981 and his undergraduate degree, with honors, from the University of Texas in 1976.
