Duane Morris Welcomes Trial Partner Robert Firriolo to Growing New York Office

NEW YORK, March 20, 2006 - Duane Morris LLP is pleased to welcome Robert P. Firriolo, formerly of Mendes & Mount, LLP, as a partner in its New York office. Robert joins the firm's Trial Practice Group. Robert is the fifth new partner to join Duane Morris' growing New York office in the past year.
Robert focuses his practice in the area of complex civil litigation, with a concentration in insurance coverage litigation and environmental matters. He has served as counsel to a number of insurers in complex environmental liability claims involving corporate plaintiffs such as utility, oil, petrochemical, pharmaceutical and mining companies. He also acts as a technical consultant, and supervises outside consultants, for clients. Robert served in the New York City Department of Transportation as well as the city's Department of Environmental Protection, where he gained extensive experience in environmental regulation, heavy construction, and safety procedures. A member of the New York State and Nassau County bar associations, he also participates in the Federalist Society for Law & Public Policy Studies, the International Society of Environmental Forensics, the Knights of Columbus and the Order Sons of Italy in America.
Prior to earning his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 1991, Robert received a B.S. in Engineering from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science & Art in 1987. He is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey.
