Kimberly Bunting and Team Join Duane Morris in Atlanta

ATLANTA, March 5, 2007 - Duane Morris LLP is pleased to welcome Kimberly Bunting, formerly of the Bunting Legal Group, LLC, as a partner in its Atlanta office. Kimberly joins the firm's Corporate Practice Group with her colleagues from the Bunting Legal Group, special counsel Mona Maerz and Dale Bandy, associate Daniel McClendon, and paralegal Kathleen Reed.
Kimberly focuses her practice on a broad range of business transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, corporate contracts and real estate. She has experience in representing major global corporations, both in-house and as outside counsel for several Fortune 500 companies. She worked in-house at Georgia Pacific Corp., Blue Circle North America Inc. and Lafarge North America Inc., and as outside counsel for Lafarge, BlueLinx Corp. and Cumulus Media, Inc., the second largest radio station owner in the United States. Kimberly has been involved in large capital expansion contracts and complex global transactions, including logistics service agreements. She has extensive experience in risk management and has advised companies in the placement of billions of dollars of insurance coverage. Kimberly is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the Atlanta Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the German American Chamber of Commerce, and the International Association of Attorneys and Executives in Real Estate.
She is a 1986 graduate of Emory University School of Law and a graduate of Emory University (M.B.A.) and Oglethorpe University (B.A.).
Mona focuses her practice on general corporate counseling and mergers and acquisitions. She has participated in and led local, national and international acquisitions and divestitures, and assists her clients in a variety of industries, including media, food, chemical and construction, in all aspects of the acquisition process. Mona was in-house with Cumulus Media. Her deal experience ranges from $3 million private acquisitions to her work on a complex $4.6 billion deal, involving a spin-off of Flowers Foods from Flowers Industries to its shareholders, and Kellogg Company's simultaneous acquisition of Keebler Foods Co. through the merger of Flowers Industries with a wholly owned subsidiary of Kellogg Co. Mona earned her J.D. from the University of Passau in Germany in 1994, an LL.M. from the University of Georgia in 1997, and a J.D. from Georgia State University in 2000. She is fluent in German.
Dale focuses her practice on representing corporate, nonprofit and governmental clients in all aspects of corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions. She has counseled companies in numerous mergers and acquisitions, and has provided general corporate advice and services to large and closely held business clients on a full range of legal issues, including personnel matters, employment contracts, supply agreements, real estate transactions, shareholder relations, business planning, tax planning, 501(c)(3) regulation and nonprofit taxation. Dale is a 1996 graduate, with distinction, from Emory University School of Law and a graduate of the University of Central Florida.
Daniel focuses his practice on corporate legal matters, including contracts, asset purchase/sale and commercial real estate. He earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Toledo in 2006 and his B.S. from the University of Georgia in 2002.
