Former Health Services General Counsel Joins Duane Morris in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES, October 16, 2007 - Duane Morris LLP is pleased to welcome Karen B. Siteman as special counsel in the firm's Los Angeles office. Karen joins the firm's Health Law Practice Group, and will primarily counsel nursing homes and assisted living providers in meeting their regulatory and transactional needs.
Karen has more than two decades of combined experience in health and financial law. Prior to joining Duane Morris, Karen served as senior vice president and general counsel to healthcare provider Country Villa Health Services, handling all general corporate matters, including contract negotiations, labor and employment issues, litigation management, selected healthcare regulatory matters, operational risk management issues and other corporate governance matters. She also has extensive experience in banking and financial matters.
Karen's arrival continues the growth of Duane Morris' Health Law practice, which numbers more than 30 attorneys firmwide. She is a member of the California Bar Association.
Karen received her LL.M from Boston University Law School in 1987. She earned her J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law in 1979, where she was editor of the Women's Law Journal, and her A.B. from the University of California at Berkeley in 1974.
