Duane Morris Welcomes Litigator Kevin Berry to Philadelphia Office
PHILADELPHIA, November 2, 2007 - Duane Morris LLP welcomes Kevin F. Berry to its Philadelphia office as a partner in the firm's Trial Practice Group. He formerly was a member at Cozen O'Connor.
Kevin focuses his practice on commercial and business litigation, with an emphasis on banking, insurance, reinsurance, directors' and officers' liability, real estate litigation and corporate law. He also has guided the resolution of disputes as an arbitrator and mediator, and served as lead counsel in court-sponsored programs for many years. During the course of his more than 25-year career, he has represented financial institutions as well as insurance, reinsurance and banking entities in regulatory, litigation and general business matters. Kevin has experience in turnaround and workout issues involving troubled financial services companies and regularly counsels companies in protecting and strategically increasing wealth. From 2002 to 2006, he served as the national chair of the Commercial Litigation Practice Group at Cozen O'Connor.
As general counsel for the Foundation of the Federal Bar Association, Kevin's responsibilities are myriad. He is a member of the Maritime Law Association, the Pennsylvania Society, the International Bar Association and the International Association of Defense Counsel. Kevin is a director and immediate-past chair of the board of the Burn Foundation, which raises funds for burn prevention, treatment and recovery. In addition, he is a frequently published author on corporate and insurance matters.
Admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, Kevin received his J.D., cum laude, from Suffolk University School of Law in 1979 and earned his B.A. from Columbia University in 1976.
