Duane Morris Welcomes IP Partner Jules Goldberg to New York Office

NEW YORK, January 11, 2008 - Duane Morris is pleased to welcome Jules E. Goldberg to its New York office as a partner in the Intellectual Property Practice Group. Goldberg was formerly a partner at Reed Smith. He focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation, patent infringement, acquisition of patents and trademarks, and due diligence as well as on matters in the pharmaceutical industry.
Goldberg brings to the firm 30 years of experience in the area of intellectual property law, particularly in matters relating to the pharmaceutical and biotechnological industries. He has litigated trademark and patent matters in federal courts, and has appeared on numerous occasions before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Goldberg has represented such clients as Mayne Pharma, Fujifilm and Sumco Corporation. He is also an arbitrator in the Civil Court of the City of New York, Small Claims Part.
Goldberg is a member of the American and New York State bar associations, the American Intellectual Property Association, the New York Intellectual Property Association and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.
Goldberg received his J.D. from Seton Hall University and his M.S. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Southern Carolina. He earned his B.S. in Chemistry from Rutgers University and pursued graduate studies in Molecular Biology at the State University of New York.
