Duane Morris Associate Wins Stakeholder 100 Award
SAN FRANCISCO, January 11, 2008 - Duane Morris is pleased to announce that Terrance J. Evans, an associate in the firm's Trial Practice Group in San Francisco, was recently named one of the top 100 minority associates in the United States, and presented with a Stakeholder 100 Award by Stakeholders, Inc.
Stakeholders, Inc. is an organization comprised of dozens of minority general counsels working at some of the largest companies in the United States. These companies, through their respective general counsels, created Stakeholders, Inc. to identify top performing minority lawyers, and law firms demonstrating a genuine commitment to diversity. The goal of this identification process is to target minority lawyers and their law firms for business development opportunities.
Evans' selection for the Stakeholder 100 Award followed a very competitive nomination process that included hundreds of nominees from around the country. In addition to being nominated by their respective law firms, successful candidates also completed extensive applications that required them to demonstrate leadership, business development, client management, problem solving ability, and a strong commitment to community. Following his selection, Evans joined other award winners, representing some of the most prestigious law firms in the United States, for a ceremony in Orlando, Florida.
Evans specializes in insurance coverage, secured transactions in real property, banking, and complex commercial litigation. Evans has negotiated settlements in more than 20 multi-million dollar cases, and has both recovered and saved clients of the firm millions of dollars in a wide range of cases. He is involved in business development activities within the firm, and has generated significant business. Additionally, Evans has a strong commitment to the community, and has supported the firm's pro bono efforts in California.
