Duane Morris Welcomes Trial Partner Rebecca Lamberth to Atlanta Office
ATLANTA, January 18, 2008 - Duane Morris is pleased to welcome Rebecca Lamberth as a partner in the firm's Atlanta office. Formerly a partner at Alston & Bird LLP, Lamberth joins the Trial Practice Group.
A trial attorney with more than 20 years of experience, Lamberth focuses her practice on securities litigation as well as complex commercial and business litigation. She advises and defends public companies, corporate officers and directors, and other professionals in disclosure, corporate governance and securities disputes. She represents clients in the financial services sector, real estate investment trusts, large and mid-sized law firms, insurers and insurance brokerage firms. Lamberth has represented companies before the SEC. In addition, she is experienced in directors and officers insurance matters as well as lawyer professional liability issues. In this role, during the investigation of Enron, she led an analysis of the potential liability of numerous lawyers involved in representing the company.
Lamberth is a member of the steering committee for the American Bar Association's Firm Counsel Project. She is also a member of the Georgia and Atlanta bar associations, the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers and the Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers. She is a Master of the Lumpkin Inn of Court in Atlanta and is a frequent speaker on securities law, professional responsibility and related concerns over liability.
Prior to earning her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1985, Lamberth graduated with a B.A., summa cum laude, from Vanderbilt University in 1982.
