Duane Morris Welcomes Corporate Partner H. Bertil Nordin to New York Office

NEW YORK, January 22, 2008 - Duane Morris is pleased to welcome H. Bertil Nordin as a partner in the Corporate Practice Group in its New York office. Formerly with Carter Ledyard & Milburn LLP, Nordin advises clients on corporate trust, securities, succession and corporate finance matters. The addition of Nordin, the twelfth attorney to join the firm in New York since September 2007, demonstrates the continued success of the firm's efforts to expand its New York office. Duane Morris lawyers in New York practice in a wide range of corporate, litigation, intellectual property and other matters, representing clients both domestically and internationally.
Nordin's practice encompasses corporate and municipal finance, public and private debt, securities and corporate administrative matters as well as mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and licensing. Within the area of finance, Nordin has handled matters involving public utility and municipal bond financings and finance restructurings, leverage lease and aircraft financings, and asset and mortgage-backed transactions. In addition, he has counseled clients in equity and structured securities as well as federal securities law and regulation. He handles matters involving succession issues, agency administration and trust indenture administration. Nordin is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the Swedish-American Bar Association and the Section on Business Laws of the International Bar Association.
Nordin earned his LL.M. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1982 and received his LL.B. in 1979 from the University of Stockholm in Sweden. He is admitted to practice in New York and Sweden.
