Duane Morris' D.C. Office Adds Corporate Lawyer Bryant Robinson III
August 26, 2008
WASHINGTON, D.C., August 26, 2008 - Duane Morris LLP has added Bryant Robinson III as a partner in its Corporate Practice Group in the firm's Washington, D.C. office. Robinson was formerly a partner at McGuireWoods LLP.
For the past 16 years, Robinson has concentrated his practice in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, securities and corporate finance, technology and telecommunications and commercial lending. He has represented both sellers and buyers of national and international public and private companies in numerous multimillion-dollar transactions, predominantly in the telecommunications, electrical supplies, advertising, textile, software and light machinery industries. He also has represented borrowers, lenders and subordinate creditors, handling complex lending transactions and advising companies on debt issues. In addition, he has counseled both commercial and residential real estate developers in land acquisitions, environmental studies, land use and zoning matters and leasing arrangements.
Robinson serves as outside general counsel to several for-profit and non-profit clients, providing operational, contractual and personnel advice. From 1994 to 1996, he served as a legal advisor in the Office of the Secretary of Education within the U.S. Department of Education and, for four months during that same period, as associate counsel in the Office of the Vice President. Robinson is also actively involved in the community, currently serving as an advisory board member of the Greater Washington, D.C. Urban League.
He is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia. Robinson earned his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1990 and graduated with a B.A., cum laude, from Tufts University in 1987.
