Duane Morris' London Office Adds Corporate Partner Jeff Rodwell
LONDON, September 8, 2008 - Duane Morris LLP has added Jeff Rodwell to its growing Corporate Practice Group as a partner in the firm's London office. Rodwell was formerly a partner with Reed Smith.
Rodwell focuses his practice in the area of general corporate law, including mergers and acquisitions and venture capital matters, with particular emphasis on the information technology, telecommunications and e-commerce fields. He advises clients on contractual agreements, negotiating contracts related to outsourcing, data privacy, systems integration and infrastructure projects. Rodwell also counsels clients on general technology issues such as data privacy, confidentiality, telecommunications regulations, encryption control licensing, exploitation of technology, outsourcing, trade practices and intellectual property. A significant portion of his practice is internationally focused. In this area, he primarily handles acquisitions and corporate finance matters for companies in India and Africa.
In addition, he has represented technology start-up companies in fundraising efforts, providing advice on structuring initial public offerings and increasing the value of proprietary technology. Rodwell also has significant in-house experience, having served as a senior corporate lawyer and Year 2000 program manager for Qantas Airways Limited, providing counsel on commercial IT deals. Prior to that, he was a human resources manager and national sales manager for Honeywell Limited in Australia.
Admitted to practice in England and Wales and in Hong Kong, Rodwell earned his Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the University of Technology, Sydney, in 1991. He graduated with a Bachelor of Laws degree in 1990, a Masters of Health Administration in 1984 and a Bachelor of Social Work degree in 1977 from the University of New South Wales in Australia.
