Duane Morris Partner Lida Rodriguez-Taseff to Receive Diversity Award
MIAMI/ATLANTA, November 21, 2008 - Duane Morris LLP is pleased to announce that partner Lida Rodriguez-Taseff will receive the inaugural CLEO Legacy Diversity Award. She will accept the award from the Council on Legal Education Opportunity (CLEO) on December 11, 2008, at its Southeast Region Reception, to be held at the Atlanta History Center.
Rodriguez-Taseff won the award in recognition of her dedication to, commitment to and passion for diversity in the legal profession. The award reception, which is part of a celebration of CLEO's 40th anniversary, honors those who have demonstrated leadership in advancing opportunities for diversity in the legal profession.
Rodriguez-Taseff, who practices in the firm's Miami office, focuses in the area of commercial litigation, with an emphasis on complex commercial disputes, intellectual property litigation, construction litigation and homeowner and condominium association litigation. She also practices in the area of voting rights law.
She is a 1992 graduate of the New York University School of Law, where she was a Root-Tilden-Kern Scholar and a recipient of the Vanderbilt Medal, the highest honor bestowed by NYU Law School. She is a graduate of the University of Miami and is fluent in written and spoken Spanish. She is a member of Duane Morris' Diversity Committee.
CLEO, a non-profit organization under the 501(c)(3) charitable arm of the American Bar Association's Fund for Justice and Education, promotes diversity through providing scholarships and support programs to minority, underrepresented and economically disadvantaged law students.
