Press Release
Two Duane Morris Construction Litigators, Edward Gentilcore and Richard Lowe, Named Fellows of the Litigation Counsel of America
PHILADELPHIA and PITTSBURGH, May 7, 2009 - Duane Morris LLP is pleased to announce that two of its construction litigation partners, Edward B. Gentilcore and Richard H. Lowe, have been named Fellows of the Litigation Counsel of America.
The Litigation Counsel of America (LCA) is an invitation-only trial lawyer honorary society with a membership limited to less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers. The composition of the LCA is aggressively diverse, with recognition of excellence among American litigation and trial counsel across all segments of the bar.
Gentilcore is vice chair of Duane Morris' Construction Group. He practices in the areas of construction law and complex commercial litigation with a considerable emphasis on construction litigation, construction contracts, green building and mechanic's lien matters. He also has considerable experience in the preparation of design and construction contracts, with a focus on dispute prevention considerations. Gentilcore frequently writes and speaks around the country on a wide variety of construction topics, including, more recently, green/sustainable design and construction issues, and is the editor of Building & Bonding: The Construction Group Newsletter. He received his law degree, cum laude, as well as his bachelor's degree, cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh.
Lowe concentrates his practice in construction law and complex construction and commercial litigation, arbitration and mediation. He is extremely active in the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC), currently serving as vice-chair of AGC's Contract Documents Committee, a leader in the promulgation of the ConsensusDOCS family of documents, which now rivals the AIA form documents. He also led the national effort to create the ConsensusDOCS BIM Addendum, the first form document dealing with Building Information Modeling. Lowe earned his law degree, with honors, from the New York University School of Law and his bachelor's degree from Yale University. He lives in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, where he is a candidate for mayor.
