Duane Morris Adds IP Attorney Felicia G. Traub to New York Office
NEW YORK, June 22, 2009 - Duane Morris LLP is pleased to announce that Felicia G. Traub has joined the firm as Special Counsel in its New York office. Her arrival strengthens the firm's active Intellectual Property Practice Group and its growing New York office. Traub comes to Duane Morris from Colgate-Palmolive Company, where she was Senior Counsel -- Trademark & Copyright, responsible for major consumer product categories worldwide.
Traub's work at Colgate-Palmolive included IP client counseling, transactional matters and trademark prosecution internationally and domestically; litigation and administrative proceedings, managing U.S. and foreign civil litigations arising from trademark, trade dress and copyright infringement and unfair competition; image rights guidance; and department administration, including managing the process of renewing more than 3,000 trademark registrations annually.
Prior to her tenure at Colgate-Palmolive, Traub served as Intellectual Property Counsel at Chanel (Trademark Services, Ltd.) and also has over seven years of experience as an IP attorney with the private law firms Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom and Cowan, Liebowitz & Latman PC.
Traub graduated from New York University School of Law, earning a J.D., with honors, in 1993. She graduated summa cum laude from Duke University (B.A., Latin) in 1990, where she was awarded the Duke University Faculty Scholar Award for independent research and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
