Duane Morris Atlanta Office Adds Trial Partner Steven D. Ginsburg
ATLANTA, April 12, 2011—Duane Morris LLP is pleased to announce that Steven D. Ginsburg has joined the firm's Trial Practice Group as a partner in its Atlanta office. He joins Duane Morris from Yoss LLP.
Ginsburg focuses his practice on corporate and commercial litigation and matters involving agreements governed by the Uniform Commercial Code; real estate, construction and banking litigation; insurance, antitrust, copyright and patent-infringement actions; medical staff privilege litigation, contractual disputes; and probate and other civil tort litigation. He has represented municipal governments in eminent domain, federal, civil rights, building- and zoning-code enforcement litigation; police civil forfeiture litigation; personnel transportation and other municipal litigation matters. Ginsburg also represents clients in bank-related litigation; class action litigation in defense of RICO, fraud and price-fixing claims in the health insurance industry and in vehicle wholesaling and financial practices; and commercial torts, foreclosures and workouts.
His appellate experience includes handling cases of first impression in Florida involving the rights of surviving spouses and creditors in estates and trusts, and the use of inculpatory statements.
Previously, Ginsburg was chief deputy assistant city attorney and municipal prosecutor for the City of Miami Beach, Fla. He served under then Miami-Dade County Florida State Attorney Janet Reno as an assistant state attorney and chief of the Insurance Fraud Division in Dade County. Ginsburg is a member of the ABA Federal Rules Revision Subcommittee and is the former chairman of a Florida Bar Unlicensed Practice of Law Committee. He is the past president of the University of Miami Alumni Club of Greater Miami.
Ginsburg earned his J.D. in 1976 from the University of Miami School of Law and his B.B.A. in Accounting, cum laude, in 1973 from the University of Miami. He is admitted to practice in Florida, Georgia and New York.
