Duane Morris provides legal assistance for the Ophthalmology Research Foundation, Inc. which is developing an annex for Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, the world renowned center for ophthalmic care, research and education. To help Bascom Palmer build new research facilities and office buildings, Duane Morris advised on all facets of construction planning, including zoning, implementation of a construction team and property tax issues.

As part of its overall development of one of the largest master plan communities in the U.S., Avatar Holdings Inc. contacted Duane Morris to help resolve a number of issues, prepare various legal documents for structure purposes and formulate business concepts. Additionally, Duane Morris was involved directly with the establishment of the active adult portion of the community by way of preparation of sales, marketing and amenity documents.
With the assistance of Duane Morris, this community obtained the ranking of third Best Selling Master Plan Community in America for 2003 by Robert Charles Lesser & Company, an independent Maryland-based real estate advisory firm.
