Ashley Barton practices in the area of litigation, representing businesses in commercial litigation, class action cases, employment law claims and trademark matters.

As a member of the firm’s Fashion, Retail and Consumer Branded Products Industry Group, Ms. Barton performs trademark clearance for clients before the launch of a product or brand, counsels clients on IP enforcement rights and implements IP protection strategies. She has experience litigating employment wage and hour and wrongful termination, trademark infringement, trademark dilution, federal and common law unfair competition, false advertising and breach of contract cases, as well as opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.

As part of the Transportation Industry Group, she represents clients in commercial litigation and regulatory matters, including employee classification determinations. She is also involved in the Technology, Media and Telecom Industry Group and counsels on infringement, notice-and-takedowns, fair use, employee non-competes and trade secrets.

Ms. Barton is a 2020 magna cum laude graduate of the University of San Diego School of Law, where she was a member of the San Diego Law Review and elected to the Order of the Coif and the Order of Barristers for excellence in oral advocacy, and a graduate of the University of California, San Diego.
