Derrick Fong-Stempel defends employers in complex wage-and-hour class and representative actions, as well as single-plaintiff actions including claims for discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination. Mr. Fong-Stempel litigates in both state and federal court and has also represented clients in private arbitrations and administrative disputes. In addition to litigating, Mr. Fong-Stempel advises clients on various employment matters, including wage-and-hour compliance, HR due diligence, executive compensation, and workforce restructuring issues.
Mr. Fong-Stempel is a 2020 graduate, with honors, of the University of Southern California, Gould School of Law, where he was staff editor of the Southern California Interdisciplinary Law Journal, and a cum laude graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles.
