Matthew Decker is a trial attorney, practicing in the areas of complex commercial, consumer class action, healthcare, products liability and mass tort litigation. He represents clients in the transportation and logistics industries in civil litigation, and has extensive experience representing Class I freight railroads in Federal Employers’ Liability Act claims. He also regularly publishes and presents on legal issues relating to emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence/machine learning and unmanned aerial vehicles.
Mr. Decker maintains a diverse commercial practice and has experience representing large hospital systems and higher education institutions in business disputes and tort claims.
Mr. Decker is a 2014 graduate of Temple University’s Beasley School of Law, where he was a Staff Editor for the Temple International & Comparative Law Journal, and a Fellow in the Rubin Public Interest Law Honor Society. While in law school, he held internships with the Hon. Thomas M. Blewitt of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, and the Hon. Anne E. Lazarus of the Superior Court of Pennsylvania. Mr. Decker obtained his undergraduate degree in International Politics from the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University in 2011.

Representative Matters
Represented Virtua Health System and Our Lady of Lourdes Health System in commercial litigation brought by Deborah Heart & Lung Center in New Jersey state court whereby Deborah claimed that Virtua’s acquisition of Lourdes in 2019 caused Lourdes to breach a restrictive covenant in a contract between Deborah and Lourdes, and resulted in Virtua inducing the alleged breach and competing unfairly with Deborah. This matter was resolved by the mutual agreement of the parties and dismissed in its entirety with prejudice.
