About the Program
The unprecedented protest movements against police brutality have focused the world’s attention on the struggle of Black Americans for justice, equality and basic rights in ways never seen before. As the threads of that struggle help pollinate and give fuel to racial awakenings across geopolitical lines, decision-makers must understand how this struggle is inextricably tied to the fabric of America’s internal and external relationships, whether they be rooted in commercial, industrial or political ties. Join us for a discussion of the Black Lives Matter movement and how race relations in the United States affect international affairs.
