Myths and Realities of the Cannabis Industry in Mexico: A Business & Investment Perspective
November 19, 2019
| 1540 Broadway, New York, NY 10036-4086
| Duane Morris LLP
Duane Morris LLP and the United States-Mexico Chamber of Commerce Northeast Chapter will be hosting the panel discussion, Myths and Realities of the Cannabis Industry in Mexico: A Business & Investment Perspective, on November 19, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., in Duane Morris’ New York office.
About the Program
Regulation of cannabis in Mexico has been the subject of intensive analysis and discussion during the past year. Mexico’s current administration has been supportive of legalization and the regulation of production and consumption of cannabis and its derivatives for both medicinal and recreational use.
A draft bill that would permit for the first time the personal use, production and commercialization of cannabis has been introduced in the Senate and it is expected to be debated shortly. Additional legislative proposals are expected to be introduced in both chambers in the near future.
The outlook for the U.S.-Mexico cross-border market and for regulation are still uncertain, but at the same time may present interesting business opportunities for investors and providers of ancillary services and products.
