NEW YORK, May 17, 2022—Duane Morris LLP partner David M. Hryck has been awarded the Ellis Island Medal of Honor. On Saturday, May 14, the Ellis Island Honors Society hosted the 35th annual Ellis Island Medals of Honor ceremony, where 85 medalists were recognized for their leadership and service within their communities and professions while exemplifying the values of the American way of life. The black-tie gala was held in Ellis Island's Great Hall, the original registry room and gateway for millions of immigrants to the United States. The 2022 medalists received and celebrated their awards in front of an iconic view of the Statue of Liberty and Manhattan skyline.

The Ellis Island Medal of Honor is presented annually to those who have shown an outstanding commitment to serving our nation either professionally, culturally or civically. The Ellis Island Honors Society pays tribute to the importance of immigration to America’s prosperity and celebrates the contributions immigrants and their progeny have made to our nation.
