Brittany Murphree is an associate in the firm's Trial Practice Group. Ms. Murphree is a civil litigator who represents clients in a wide range of matters in state and federal courts, including commercial disputes, insurance and reinsurance matters, personal injury litigation, premises liability, construction disputes and professional liability claims. She also assists clients with litigation strategy in federal court actions involving complex business issues and brand-related enforcement.

Ms. Murphree has substantial courtroom and trial experience early in her career. She second chaired a two-week jury trial where the plaintiff sought more than $1 million in damages, resulting in a complete defense verdict. She also helped secure a full defense verdict in a contested premises liability trial in Williamson County, Texas. Her motion experience includes arguing and winning motions to dismiss and motions to quash, preparing a wide range of dispositive and procedural motions, and drafting a mandamus petition that was granted by the Texas Fourth Court of Appeals.

Her practice is supported by a strong foundation in federal litigation. Her federal court background includes drafting and arguing Daubert motions, managing discovery strategy, preparing fact and expert witnesses, and handling key hearings. She has appeared before federal judges on dispositive and procedural issues and has developed a strong understanding of federal practice and motion work. In 2025, Ms. Murphree completed the International Association of Defense Counsel’s Trial Academy, a selective advocacy training program focused on strategic trial preparation and courtroom skills.

Ms. Murphree earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Mississippi School of Law, where she served on the Dean’s Leadership Council, participated in the Innocence Project Clinic and held roles in several organizations.
