Denis Yavorskiy is a senior associate in the firm's Employment, Labor, Benefits and Immigration Practice Group, where he focuses his practice on complex litigation with an emphasis on class actions. Denis represents clients in high-stakes litigation matters involving employment, consumer protection, data privacy, deceptive practices, products liability, and false advertising claims. He also has extensive experience in complex commercial and civil rights matters.
Denis excels at managing matters through all phases of litigation, including dispositive motions, class certification briefing, motions in limine and Daubert motions, conducting fact and expect written discovery and depositions, preparing cases for trial and settlement, and posttrial and appellate briefing. In addition, Denis is an avid pro bono litigator, having appeared on behalf of numerous prisoners bringing constitutional claims in federal trial and appellate courts, and has successfully represented numerous immigrants seeking asylum status.
Denis earned his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School and his B.A. in philosophy and sociology, with a minor in mathematics, from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Denis is conversational and literate in Russian and Spanish.
