Dylan Anderson primarily practices in the area of commercial litigation, with experience representing a broad range of clients—including executives, commercial real estate developers and privately held companies in a variety of industries—through every phase of complex disputes. Mr. Anderson focuses his practice on high-stakes litigation involving claims for breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, breach of noncompete and nonsolicitation agreements, antitrust violations, and other business torts and complex commercial disputes. 

Mr. Anderson is admitted to practice in Texas state and federal courts, including the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Western and Eastern Districts of Texas, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Although he primarily practices in Texas courts, Mr. Anderson has successfully represented his clients both in courts across the country and before AAA and FINRA arbitration tribunals.

Outside of the courtroom, Mr. Anderson advises clients on a variety of matters, including contract negotiations and risk avoidance, with an eye towards developing strategies to mitigate litigation risks.

Mr. Anderson is a 2018 graduate of Southern Methodist University, Dedman School of Law, where he was an Associate Editor of the International Law Review Association, and a 2014 graduate of Texas Christian University. Mr. Anderson is an active member of the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers, and enjoys spending his free time with family, traveling, and attending concerts and sports events of all kinds.

Representative Matters

  • Represented former manager of oilfield services company in AAA arbitration against private equity group in multi-million-dollar breach of contract suit alleging wrongful termination and breach of contract arising from cancellation of client’s membership units. Obtained confidential settlement prior to final arbitration hearing.

  • Served on trial team that secured defense verdict for former business owner in lawsuit brought by multi-national building conglomerate seeking over $40 million in compensatory damages, in addition to punitive damages and attorney fees, arising from alleged breach of non-compete agreement in connection with the sale of windows business.

  • Served as lead counsel defending financial professional in FINRA Arbitration and federal court claims brought by former employer for breach of contract and theft of trade secrets arising out of non-competition, non-solicitation, and confidentiality agreement. Obtained confidential settlement prior to final hearing.

  • Represented commercial landlord in dispute with tenant in multiple state and federal lawsuits regarding over $15 million in lease obligations. Obtained judgment for damages and eviction order in unlawful detainer suit, summary judgment in state court, and negotiated confidential settlement of remaining lawsuits and appeal prior to appellate hearing and trials in state and federal court.

  • Represented trucking and logistics company and company owner in lawsuit initiated by former employer alleging breach of fiduciary duties and breach of contract; obtained settlement prior to trial in state court.

  • Represented business owner in lawsuit against former partner alleging breach of fiduciary duty, conspiracy, and breach of contract, obtained temporary injunction against former partner and confidential settlement prior to trial.
