Edric Chia Bing Da

Edric Chia is a Senior Associate with the Litigation, Arbitration and Dispute Resolution Practice Group of Selvam LLC.

Edric’s practice covers a wide spectrum of expertise, with a particular emphasis on complex cross-border commercial disputes, mediation and arbitration. He has represented and advised a diverse portfolio of clients across Greater China, the wider Asia-Pacific region, and internationally, ranging from leading technology companies to privately held companies and individual clients. 

Edric has a key interest in commodities, licensing, technology, and telecommunications disputes. He also has substantial experience in a wide variety of complex matters, spanning shareholder disputes, contractual disputes, contested high value probate and trust actions and mortgagee actions, and criminal proceedings under the Singapore Prevention of Corruption Act and Telecommunication Act. Edric has represented clients in all levels of the Singapore Courts, including the High Court of Singapore and its Appellate Division, State Courts, and also in international commercial arbitrations.

Edric graduated from the University of Nottingham with an LL.B. 2nd Class Honours (Upper) in 2016, and from University College London with an LL.M. in Litigation and Dispute Resolution (Distinction) in 2017. He was then later admitted to the Singapore Bar in 2020.
