Jeffrey B. Charkow is a seasoned commercial litigator with a national practice focused on resolving complex construction disputes through litigation, arbitration, mediation and appeal. He represents a wide range of clients in the construction industry—including owners, developers, REITs, general contractors, subcontractors and design professionals—in high-stakes disputes arising from major commercial, institutional and infrastructure projects across the United States and internationally.
With over two decades of trial experience, Jeff has litigated and resolved disputes involving large-scale developments such as Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, the Notre Dame Football Stadium, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Deer Island Waste Water Treatment Center and power plants throughout the Americas. His practice also encompasses broader commercial litigation, including insurance coverage, licensing and intellectual property disputes, and class actions.
Jeff is recognized by Chambers USA and has received Martindale-Hubbell’s AV Preeminent rating. He is a member of the Society of Illinois Construction Attorneys and the American Bar Association’s Forum on Construction Law.
