Joshua M. Rubins is a trial and appellate attorney. Mr. Rubins regularly represents a wide range of media clients in copyright, trademark and licensing disputes, as well as in defamation actions and other matters involving the First Amendment. In addition, he handles intellectual property transactions for media clients and performs pre-publication and pre-broadcast reviews of books, news articles and newcasts. 

Mr. Rubins also has experience in all areas of commercial litigation, including securities, real estate, banking, antitrust, consumer fraud class actions and commercial contracts. He

His extensive background as a professional writer and journalist includes eight years as editor and publisher of Kirkus Reviews and the 1987 Citation for Excellence in Reviewing from the National Book Critics’ Circle.

Mr. Rubins is a 1974 graduate of Harvard Law School and a magna cum laude graduate of Harvard University.
