Katharyn I. Christian Voit serves as Pro Bono Special Counsel at Duane Morris LLP and leads the firm’s Pro Bono Practice, through which the firm contributes over 35,000 pro bono hours annually across more than 1,700 matters. Ms. Voit develops and stewards collaborations with legal services organizations, nonprofits, and charitable institutions to cultivate high‑impact pro bono opportunities that advance access to justice for individuals, families, and communities. She also collaborates with the firm’s institutional clients to build pro bono initiatives and cross‑sector collaborations. She serves as a liaison to the firm’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee.
Ms. Voit combines program leadership with a legal practice focusing on immigration law as well as advocating for survivors of gender‑based violence, reproductive justice, and military veterans’ benefits. Since joining Duane Morris in 2012, she has played a central role in launching and sustaining pro bono initiatives addressing critical justice gaps—including expanding legal representation for immigrant survivors of intimate partner violence, establishing medical‑legal partnerships with a VA Medical Center and major health system, and helping trafficking survivors vacate criminal convictions tied to their exploitation.
Ms. Voit is an honors graduate of the University of Alabama School of Law, where she earned a Certificate in Public Interest Law and served as editor‑in‑chief of The Journal of the Legal Profession. She is also a graduate of Vanderbilt University, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. Her work has been recognized through numerous awards for public interest leadership and service.
