Lauren M. Case is a trial lawyer with over a decade of experience representing clients in complex commercial matters in state and federal court. She is a member of the firm’s Insurance & Reinsurance Industry Group, and represents insurance industry clients in insurance coverage litigation. She works on complex matters involving multiple parties, frequently related to underlying environmental cleanup. As a member of the firm’s Gaming Industry Group, Lauren also has extensive experience representing gaming and digital entertainment clients in class action lawsuits throughout the United States. Lauren also has experience representing clients in the financial services industry. Lauren regularly works on pro bono matters, most recently involving expungement of criminal records, and asylum for refugees from Afghanistan. Lauren is licensed in both California and Washington state.
Lauren serves as the programing chair for the Women’s Impact Network for Success (WINS) in the San Francisco office. She is a 2011 graduate of Santa Clara University School of Law, and 2006 graduate of Duke University. Go Blue Devils!

Representative Matters
Defending international gaming companies against mass actions alleging unlawful gambling pursuant to gambling loss recovery acts in Alabama and Tennessee.
Defend global gaming company IGT in one of a series of putative class actions filed against various leading “social casinos” asserting the right to recover amounts spent by players on virtual coins under the Washington State gambling loss recovery act. Benson v. Double Down Interactive, LLC, District Court for the Western District of Washington, Case No. 2:18-cv-00525.
Successfully defended client against temporary restraining order and compelled arbitration. Nessim v. Fliff, Inc., District Court for the Central District of California, Case No. 5:23-CV-01048-SSS-SHKX.
