Marie Bauer is an associate in the firm's Business Reorganization and Financial Restructuring Practice Group. Ms. Bauer practices in the area of creditors’ rights, commercial real estate litigation and adversary bankruptcy matters, representing a range of clients including Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities (CMBS) servicers, secured and unsecured creditors, chapter 11 and chapter 7 trustees, and other diverse businesses. She has extensive experience in civil litigation, including pre-litigation strategy and alternative dispute resolution, writing motions and briefs, discovery, and trial preparation.
She is actively involved in the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC) as a board member of the Greater Maryland Network. Ms. Bauer also has extensive pro bono experience representing children with Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) and victims of domestic violence.
Ms. Bauer is an award-winning 2022 cum laude graduate of the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, where she served as an associate editor for the Maryland Law Review, a member of the Moot Court Board, and competed on the National Trial Team.
