Phillip N. Walters practices in the area of employment law, representing employers in defending wage and hour class action, Private Attorneys General Act, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination and other employment lawsuits. He also advises and counsels clients on issues pertaining to compliance with California employment law.
Prior to joining Duane Morris, Mr. Walters was a Staff Attorney at the California Labor Commissioner’s Office, representing the Labor Commissioner in matters involving the California Labor Code anti-retaliation and prevailing wage statutes.
Mr. Walters previously served in the United States Marine Corps as a Criminal Prosecutor, including a one-year assignment as the Special Assistant United States Attorney for the Marine Corps located in the Southern District of California.
Mr. Walters is a 2017 graduate of Pepperdine University School of Law and a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles.
