Rubina Karapetyan is a member of the firm’s Real Estate and Bankruptcy & Reorganization practice groups.
In her transactional real estate practice, Ms. Karapetyan advises clients on the acquisition, disposition, and leasing of commercial, office, mixed-use, and residential properties, and drafts and negotiates the agreements governing these transactions, together with related consulting and regulatory matters.
In her bankruptcy and restructuring practice, Ms. Karapetyan represents lenders and loan servicers in commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) navigating the challenges posed by defaulting borrowers and distressed assets. Her work includes guiding clients through loan workouts, modifications, amendments, assumptions, and restructuring negotiations aimed at preserving value and restoring stability. She also assists clients with a range of enforcement actions, including judicial and non-judicial foreclosures, receivership appointments, and asset sales.
Ms. Karapetyan also has experience representing an assignee in an assignment for the benefit of creditors (ABC), guiding the assignee through the wind-down of the business and the administration of the ABC process.
