Sylvia (Yoo Jin) Cheong is an associate in the firm’s Trial Practice Group, where she represents clients in a wide range of complex commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes, tort claims, property disputes, regulatory enforcement actions, and appeals. With experience in both litigation and transactional work, Ms. Cheong brings a well-rounded and strategic perspective to each case.
Ms. Cheong earned her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law where she was a member of the Fordham Intellectual Property, Media & Entertainment Law Journal. She holds two LL.M. degrees from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law and Handong International Law School in South Korea. Prior to starting her legal career in the U.S., Ms. Cheong practiced real estate transaction in Canada gaining valuable experience in property law and contract negotiations. Ms. Cheong’s diverse academic, professional, and cultural background enables her to handle multifaceted legal issues and work effectively with clients across industries and jurisdictions.
Ms. Cheong is admitted to practice in California, Nevada, Alabama, and Ontario, Canada. She is a native Korean speaker and has basic conversational ability in French.
