Tatyana Shmygol is an experienced counselor and litigator. In her litigation practice, Ms. Shmygol defends employers in federal and state courts and before various administrative agencies against claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, breach of contract, misappropriation of trade secrets, and wage and hour violations, including single plaintiff and class action matters. She also helps employers navigate pre-litigation disputes and internal investigations.
As a counselor, Ms. Shmygol advises employers on a wide variety of workplace issues, including hiring, discipline decisions (including terminations), leaves of absence, wage and hour, and HR practices. Ms. Shmygol also helps employers in drafting and updating employee handbooks and policies, executive employment agreements, severance agreements, arbitration agreements, and proprietary information agreements.
Ms. Shmygol is a 2009 graduate of the University of California, Berkeley School of Law and a graduate of University of California, Berkeley. She is fluent in Russian.
