Tiffany E. Alberty is a member of the firm’s Class Action Defense group and practices in the area of employment law. As a member of the Illinois, Colorado, and Washington, D.C., bars, she maintains a nationwide practice defending clients in workplace law matters before federal and state courts and administrative agencies.
Tiffany represents employers in Rule 23 class actions, mass consolidations, multidistrict litigation (MDL), EEOC pattern and practice cases, and arbitration matters. She defends employers against claims of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation brought under Title VII, the ADA, the ADEA, and state discrimination laws. Tiffany is CIPP/US certified by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and her practice encompasses the defense of litigation brought under consumer protection and privacy statutes such as the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA), and data breach claims brought under the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Act.
Tiffany serves as the Pro Bono Associate Chair in the firm’s Chicago office. Her pro bono experience notably includes her position as second chair in a trial defending a client under the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction. Tiffany also chairs the associate committee for Duane Morris’ Women’s Impact Network for Success and is a member of the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois.
Tiffany is a 2017 graduate of the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law. She received a master’s degree in Communications Management from Webster University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of New Mexico. While attending the University of Illinois Chicago Law School, Tiffany was the production editor for the Review of Intellectual Property Law (RIPL), treasurer of the Latino Law Student Association, and vice president of the Entertainment & Sports Law Society.
In her spare time, Tiffany loves to travel internationally and is a frequent cyclist in the Chicagoland area.
