Victoria R. Carradero is an employment defense litigator with substantial arbitration, federal and state court experience in single plaintiff, multi-plaintiff, class, collective and representative action matters. Her litigation experience includes, among others, complex discrimination, harassment and retaliation suits, whistleblower claims, wage and hour matters (including class, collective and representative actions), contract and tort claims, workplace violence TROs, as well as misappropriation of trade secrets and breach of confidentiality/invention assignment agreement matters. Victoria also has experience litigating mass torts and commercial disputes.  She represents clients primarily in the technology and life sciences industries, as well as telecommunications and media. Victoria has worked with start-ups, mid-size companies, as well as multi-national corporations.

Victoria advises clients on a wide range of issues impacting the full scope of the employment relationship, including hiring and worker classifications (e.g., exempt/non-exempt and independent contractor/employee status), policies, leaves of absence, reasonable accommodations, performance management, discipline, investigations, employee separations (including executive separations), reductions in force, corporate restructuring, and mergers and acquisitions.  Clients regularly seek Victoria’s advice and guidance on critical risk assessment and mitigation measures, and, when litigation cannot be avoided, to devise litigation strategy and resolve the dispute, whether through settlement or on the merits.

Victoria formerly served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Northern District of California, where she handled employment defense and other civil litigation matters on behalf of the federal government and its various agencies. There, she litigated a diverse set of matters, including employment, constitutional law, torts, Administrative Procedures Act, and Freedom of Information Act cases, among others.

Victoria is the Silicon Valley Office’s Pro Bono Representative. She is a member of the firm’s Professional Standards Committee, which evaluates attorneys for promotion to Special Counsel and Partner.  She is also Co-Lead of the Firm’s Hispanic/Latino Employee Resource Group, and a member of the Women’s Impact Network for Success.

Victoria is a 2001 graduate of Stanford Law School, where she was a member of the Stanford Law and Policy Review and led the Stanford Street Law Program, a program dedicated to providing youth with civic and law-related education.
