London-born Ghanaian entrepreneur Amma Mensah is a trailblazing social innovator. In 2020, she returned home and took over one of West Africa’s largest organic farms and distilleries, producing sugarcane, cashews, rum and brandy. In her first two years, she sold over 30,000 liters of rum, halved the company’s losses and simultaneously increased the salaries of African farmers by 50 percent.
Reign Rum launched in Accra, Ghana, in 2023 at Blackstarline Fest, the country’s largest ever festival. In just one year, Reign Rum has won a string of international awards for design and taste, engaged over 1 million YouTube viewers and gained the approbation of leading cultural and industry figures across the globe.
Ahead of its launch in the United States, you are invited to this exclusive Reign Rum tasting event led by founder Amma Mensah.
About the Program
