CHICAGO, August 18, 2025—Duane Morris LLP associate Max W. Fargotstein has been elected president of the board of directors of Jewish Council for Youth Services (JCYS). JCYS is a Chicago-based nonprofit organization that has provided early childhood education and camping programs to a diverse Chicago community for over 116 years. With four locations across the Chicagoland area, JCYS programming touches thousands of families every year. Fargotstein has served on the board of directors since 2019.

Fargotstein represents both lenders and borrowers in a wide variety of debt financing transactions including secured financings, cash flow financings, acquisition financings, asset-based financings and other commercial lending transactions. In addition to a traditional commercial lending practice, he has experience with specialty finance transactions such as real estate financing, equipment leasing, healthcare lending and transportation asset financings (secured by aircraft, vessels and/or railcars). Fargotstein’s practice includes the representation of private and public businesses, corporate borrowers, financial institutions, commercial banks, non-bank lenders, private equity and credit funds, leasing companies and other participants in the financial services industry.

Fargotstein is a graduate of Tulane University Law School (J.D., cum laude, 2017) where he served as a managing editor of the Tulane Maritime Law Journal, and a graduate of Tulane University’s A.B. Freeman School of Business (B.S.M., summa cum laude, 2014).
