Duane Morris Chicago Office Adds Corporate Partner Robert E. Horwath Jr.

CHICAGO, January 9, 2017—Robert E. Horwath, Jr. has joined Duane Morris LLP as a partner in the firm’s Chicago office. Horwath enhances the firm’s corporate and transactional capabilities regionally and nationally. He joins Duane Morris from Locke Lord LLP.
Horwath represents financial institutions, public and private companies and investors in connection with debt and equity financing transactions, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and general corporate matters. He also represents lenders and borrowers in connection with secured and unsecured loans, including acquisition financings, working capital financings, debtor-in-possession and exit financings and other structured transactions. Horwath counsels corporations, institutional lenders, private equity funds, hedge funds and banks with workouts, restructurings and dispositions of distressed and non-distressed debt portfolios. He has experience structuring, negotiating and documenting asset and stock acquisitions and dispositions, mergers and equity investments.
Horwath is a 2004 graduate of Harvard Law School, a 1997 graduate (M.A.) of the University of Chicago and a 1995 summa cum laude graduate (B.A.) of Saint Anselm College.
