NEW YORK, June 20, 2024—Duane Morris has named partner Ted J. Chiappari chair of the Immigration Division of the firm’s Employment, Labor, Benefits and Immigration Practice Group. Chiappari succeeds partner Lisa Spiegel, who has held the position since 2019.

Chiappari practices in the area of business immigration. He represents companies seeking to acquire temporary work permits or permanent resident status for their foreign employees, and also represents individuals on maintenance of U.S. resident status while abroad and on citizenship matters, including dual citizenship and loss of citizenship. He also advises on tax aspects of international transfer of personnel. Chiappari is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the American Council on Germany. He has been recognized by numerous publications for his outstanding work in the area of immigration law on a multinational scale.
