Partner Andrew M. Tucker and Senior Associate Zalak Raval join in Washington, D.C.; Partner Rebekah D. McCorvey and Senior Associate Jon Anderson Join in Atlanta; Associate Ana García Bodán Joins in Miami

WASHINGTON, D.C., ATLANTA, and MIAMI, April 7, 2025―Andy Tucker and Rebekah D. McCorvey have joined Duane Morris LLP as partners in the firm’s Corporate Practice Group in its Washington, D.C., and Atlanta offices, respectively. Senior associates Jon Anderson and Zalak Raval have joined the firm’s Atlanta and Washington, D.C., offices, respectively, and associate Ana Garcia Bodan joined the firm’s Miami office. Prior to joining Duane Morris, the attorneys practiced at Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP.

“Following a very strong year in 2024, our Corporate practice continues to excel in providing efficient and creative service to our capital markets, private equity, mergers and acquisitions, and banking clients, which are all areas where we are seeing ongoing momentum and increased demand,” said Duane Morris Chairman and CEO Matthew A. Taylor also noted that Duane Morris is continuing to recruit transactional groups and marquee talent, and the firm expects to further expand its Corporate Practice Group in 2025.

“Andrew, Rebekah, Jon, Zalak and Ana enhance the scope of our practice group, which is more than 200 attorneys strong. Their capital markets and mergers and acquisitions experience serving deal-focused clients in key industry sectors including energy, fintech and life sciences make them a particularly advantageous team,” said Brian P. Kerwin, chair of Duane Morris’ Corporate Practice Group.

Andy Tucker is a corporate and securities advisor to growing companies, particularly in the technology and government contracting sectors. His clients maintain operations around the globe. Tucker regularly advises companies in various industries such as cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, government services and contracting, REITs, telecommunications, managed services, renewable energy, oil and gas, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, aviation, consumer products and financial technology companies. He advises SPACs on their initial formation and sponsor capital raise, through the IPO process and their initial business combination. In addition to providing general corporate guidance, Tucker also assists his clients with a broad variety of transactional support, including venture capital and private equity transactions, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, and public and private securities offerings.

Tucker is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center (J.D.), where he was lead articles editor of The Tax Lawyer, and the University of Notre Dame (B.A., with honors).

Rebekah D. McCorvey is a mergers and acquisitions partner, advising buy-side and sell-side clients in complex business transactions in a broad range of industries. Working closely with management teams throughout the deal cycle, she advises clients and provides thoughtful and creative solutions that bring to bear her extensive experience in legal technology, Lean Six Sigma and practice efficiency.

McCorvey is a graduate of the University of Georgia School of Law (J.D., cum laude), where she was executive articles editor of the Georgia Journal of International & Comparative Law and president of the class. She is also a graduate of the University of Georgia (B.B.A., summa cum laude).

Jon Anderson represents clients in a broad range of general corporate transactional matters, including domestic and cross-border public and private mergers and acquisitions, de-SPAC transactions and private placements. He also advises companies in general corporate matters, including entity structuring and restructuring, joint ventures, corporate governance, SEC reporting and compliance, debt and equity financing and contract negotiations. He has counseled clients in cross border transactions involving matters in more than 20 countries.

Anderson is a graduate of Radboud University Faculty of Law (Nijmegen, Netherlands) (LL.M.), the Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law (J.D.), where he was editor of Jus Gentium: Journal of International Legal History, and Pensacola Christian College (B.A., magna cum laude).

Zalak Raval focuses her practice on securities offerings and regulation, corporate finance and related matters. She represents both issuers and investment banks in a wide variety of public and private offerings, including initial public offerings, follow-on offerings and private placements. She also advises public companies in their periodic reporting and compliance under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. Raval counsels public and private companies at every stage of their corporate life cycle with a focus on advising SPACs, from their initial formation and sponsor capital raise, through the IPO process and their initial business combination. In addition to providing general corporate guidance, she also assists clients with a broad variety of transactional support, including private equity transactions and mergers and acquisitions.

Raval is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center (LL.M., with distinction), Emory University School of Law (J.D.), where she was executive managing editor of the Emory Corporate Governance and Accountability Review, and George Washington University (B.A.).

Ana Garcia Bodan advises clients in connection with general corporate transactional matters.  She provides counsel to both domestic and international clients on a wide variety of corporate matters, including public and private mergers and acquisitions, de-SPAC transactions, public offerings, private placements, SEC reporting and compliance, and corporate formation and restructuring. She has advised clients in connection with cross-border transactions involving matters in El Salvador, Honduras and Nicaragua.

García Bodán is a graduate of the University of Miami School of Law (J.D., LL.M.) and Universidad Americana (Nicaragua) (LL.B., magna cum laude).
