PHILADELPHIA, October 23, 2024—Duane Morris LLP has appointed James H. Steigerwald managing partner of its Philadelphia office. Steigerwald is the first-ever managing partner of the firm’s Philadelphia office.

Steigerwald is co-chair of the Commercial Litigation Division of Duane Morris’ Trial Practice Group. He is an active trial lawyer who has tried cases before federal and state courts across the country, obtaining multimillion-dollar verdicts as well as defense verdicts. Steigerwald has significant experience with high-profile, nine-figure damages cases involving contract, fraud and fiduciary duty claims as well as actions alleging violations of securities, antitrust and RICO laws. He is active in the community and has been recognized by the Support Center for Child Advocacy with its Distinguished Advocate Award for his pro bono representation of abused and neglected children.
