Allen is author of The Attorney-Client Privilege and Work-Product Doctrine in Pennsylvania, the seventh edition of which has just been released. The book is a concise reference that explores fundamental concepts and unsettled issues involving privilege and work product and is designed as a resource for both in-house counsel and private practitioners. The seventh edition has been thoroughly reviewed and revised and includes the following updates: the propriety of in camera reviews; the availability of interlocutory appeals; the application of privilege protection to communications involving no attorneys at all; and the differing standards for waiver of privilege protection versus waiver of work-product protection.
