Mr. Ferrelli, known as "J.," is a partner in the Cherry Hill office of Duane Morris, one of the nation's 100 largest law firms.
"We are pleased for J.," said Sheldon Bonovitz, Chairman of Duane Morris. "His substantial knowledge of the law, enthusiasm, and his excellent leadership ability will be of significant benefit to the Burlington County Bar Association."
"I am excited about beginning my term as president," Ferrelli said. "I plan to continue the Association's endeavors to serve the Bar and the community, and hope to make a positive impact on the administration of justice in Burlington County and beyond."

Mr. Ferrelli will be sworn into office by his father, the Hon. Dominick J. Ferrelli, who served as a New Jersey Superior Court judge from 1974 to 1992, and as Burlington County Prosecutor from 1970 to 1974. Mr. Ferrelli's installation ceremony will be held at the Old Court House in Mount Holly, N.J. at 6 p.m. on June 18.
The Old Court House in Mount Holly was erected in 1796 and is still in use today. It is viewed as one of the finest examples of Colonial architecture in the nation. Like Congress Hall in Philadelphia, it was designed by Samuel Lewis. The bell that announced the opening of court sessions is said to have rung to signal the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The small cannon in front of the Courthouse was used by the Colonists in Mount Holly against the British on December 26, 1776, the day after George Washington defeated the British in Trenton.
